The much awaited Road Safety Board is going to be formed soon. For this, the government has issued a notification. It has proposed to amend the Central Motor Manual. The road ministry has asked the public to give suggestions within a month. According to the notification, only retired bureaucrats of the central and state governments can be its president or members. The board will have the authority to recall dangerous vehicles and fix the cost of safety equipment, among other rights.”
