The directive issued by the MoRTH, refers to CMA no. 3235 of 2014 filed by Sh R Mallika and Ors vs M/s Bajaj Allienz General Insurance Company and Ors before the Honourable High Court of Madras. It mandates compulsory wearing of helmets by two wheeler riders and also provision of a helmet at the time of sale of two wheelers.
